⁴M.D., Pazarcık State Hospital, Eye Clinic Pazarcık, Kahramanmaraş/TURKEY A 79-year-old man presented to our ophthalmology clinic with visual loss and pain in the right eye. He had been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus a year before. Visual acuity was 0.16 and 0.7 in the right and left eyes, respectively. The anterior segment evaluation revealed pseudophakia and posterior chamber lens bilaterally and rubeosis iridis in the right eye. The fundus examination revealed advanced optic disk cupping in the right eye. The left fundus examination was within normal limits. Intraocular pressure was 28 mmHg in the right eye and 12 mmHg in the left eye. Panretinal laser photocoagulation was applied to the right eye and an intraocular injection of bevacizumab. The iris neovascularization and intraocular pressure regressed. In this paper, we discuss a case of neovascular glaucoma due to ocular ischemic syndrome arising from internal carotid artery obstruction.
