SSK Ankara Göz Hastanesi ve Göz Bankası
Surgical treatment has been performed in a case of congenital optic pit with serous macular detachment. A case of congenital optic pit with serous macular detachment has been operated by pars plana vitrectomy, posterior hyaloid peeling, injection of perflorocarbon liquids, endolaser photocoagulation and injection of perfloropropane gas. The fundus examination of the patient revealed macular attachment ad visual acuity was 40/200 at the 45 days postoperatively. Vitreoretinal surgery with intravitreal gas perflorocarbon injection following retinal stabilisation by perflorocarbon liquids increase the anatomical and functional success rate of the patient.
