3HÜTF Nöroloji Kliniği Nörooftalmoloji Ünitesi We report on the development of juxtapapillary subretinal neovascular membrane and permanent visual loss in a patient with pseudotumor cerebri. A lumbo-periteonal shunt was inserted during this period. After surgery, despite the decrease of intracranial pressure and resolving papilledema, the membrane enlarged rapidly and involved the foveal avascular zone. The membrane began to resolve and was replaced by fibrous tissue at the ninth month, but visual acuity did not improve.
