Methods: A 44-year-old man with extramacular circumscribed choroidal hemangioma had sustained a decline in visual acuity caused by subretinal fluid exudation into the macular area. The tumour thickness was 1.8 mm. The patient underwent TTT with diode laser (810 nm). The course of the lesion after treatment was documented with fundus photography and ultrasonography.
Result: He underwent a single session of TTT. The power was 700mW and treatment time was 3 minutes. Complete atrophy of the choroidal hemangioma with resorbtion of subretinal fluid was documented over the 3 months after transpupillary, with improvement in visual acuity.
Conclusion: TTT is an effective method in the treatment of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma.
