3İnönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları, A.D., Malatya, Prof.Dr. A 37- year-old man applied to our outpatient clinic. The right eye showed nearly one disc diameter (DD) of round pale area inferior to the optic disc and bifurcated vessels arising from this area. B-scan ultrasonography, visual field analysis, fundus fluorescein angiography, and MRI were performed in order to confirm whether this formation is a true doubling of optic nerve or not. It is concluded that lesion is an isolated choroidal coloboma.
Isolated choroidal coloboma is rare clinical entity. It may be confused true optic nerve duplication.
