Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları A.D., Ankara Purpose: Studies have been going on for the treatment of exudative form of age related macular degeneration for years and after the addition of photodyamic therapy, laser applications have become the main treatment option for this disease. In recent years, new medical treatment options are being investigated (antiangiogenic agents) via preclinical and clinical studies.
